    Fish/Cruise-ability
 The Skipjack 300 has 300 gallon fuel capacity, a 11' 2" beam and weighs in at 16,000 Ibs. This configuration allows
you to run anywhere, anytime. This mid-size offshore sport fisher is built to the standards of seasoned offshore seamen.

Cockpit
 It's 75 square feet of cockpit is laid out for the particular fisherman. A built in 30-gallon bait tank, 10 cu. ft. ice / fish box, full transom door and white vinyl covered coaming pads round out the perfect fishing machine.

Bridge
 The tournament style layout provides a wrap-around helm for extensive and updatable electronic equipment and one adjustable helm seat. The companion seat can be laid flat to make a sleeper for 2.

Main Salon
The main salon is spacious and open. The salon is extremely  functional - a Skipjack signature. Full Corian counter top, Large stainless steel sink, a two-burner electric stovetop, fully built in microwave, and large 3.1 cu-ft refrigerator demonstrate that this boat is really designed and built to spend time offshore.

Forward Berth
Features a double berth. Direct overhead lighting accentuates the simplicity and warmth of the berth. A large translucent hatch offers natural light and ventilation.

Head Compartment
Fully enclosed compartment, shower, vanity, mirror, stainless steel sink, electric head and hold handle make for extreme comfort when offshore or simply a weekend get away.

Power Plants
A selection of twin engine packages are offered. From Yanmar to Cummins and Volvo.  Access to the engine room is from the cockpit by way of a reliable electric hatch lift. Generator is optional and is located aft of the engines.
The Skipjack 300 is engineered to make full use of its wide beam 11' 2" and 30 ft length and is considered to have a larger salon and larger cockpit than 32 ft boats.

Engine Room
The engine hatch is powered electrically with a single jack-screw. Push the button located behind a lockable panel and the hatch lifts up and out of the way. SKIPJACK 300 has large sized water intakes, thru hulls, valves and sea water strainers (very important). Large rudder boxes and large size rudder shafts are standard for reliability and long life. The SKIPJACK 300 is designed with good access to the bilge and bilge pumps. Serviceability of the Yanmar: Everything can be reached. It is reasonable to service the whole engine standing in there. We do not know of another boat that's built of this size that has access all the way around the engine. You've got access to the belts, adjust belts, check alternator, access to the water, access to either one of the fuel water separators is easy, great access, but are still tucked back and out of the way. The large space between the engines allows you to crawl between the engines to check mounts and check engine alignments. You can't do that with most boats. Access to the injectors, access to the seawater strainers, access to the heat exchanger, access to the stuffing box is very reasonable for adjusting. On your hands an knees you can reach in here with a socket and adjust the stuffing box. Access to the batteries is easy, lift out the panels and all 3 batteries can be checked and serviced.

The 30 ft. Skipjack is equipped with one of the best flybridge layouts in the 30 foot range and is ideally suited for fishing or coastal cruising. What separates this design over other boats of the same size are the following: Generous unobstructed cockpit (75 sq-ft), wide side decks, thigh high stainless steel hand rails, a very comfortable flybridge with seating for 5 adults, a huge interior with excellent visibility and superb ventilation. Accommodations for six this is a perfect family cruiser or weekend fishing machine. Engine access is simply located beneath the cockpit sole with the touch of a button the entire deck raises to easily access all machinery.
The main salon is spacious, open and a functional Skipjack signature. With forward facing windows and opening side windows there is more than enough natural light and a spectacular view even from the inside. To starboard is a raised L-shaped settee equipped with a high low table that converts into a second sleeping arrangement suitable for two adults. the galley is located to the port side forward of the head and is furnished with Corian counter tops that offer clean, upscale appearance with a deep polished stainless steel galley sink, tow burner Princess electric stove top, built in microwave, and a Norcold refrigerator / Freezer demonstrate that this boat is designed and built to enhance your offshore travels.
The bow area features a double berth. Direct overhead 12v lighting accentuates the the simplicity and warmth of the berth. A large translucent hatch offers natural light and ventilation. Beneath the berth cushions are subdivided storage areas that offer generous space for bulk goods.
